Novel Translations and Indonesian Novels

Nowadays, the novel translations and Indonesian novels very much interest among teenagers and the stories many of which were filmed. But, the two novels have similarities and differences that quite significant among them is the atmosphere of the novel,  story of the novel is a lot filmed, topic of the novel, and language level of the novel. 

One obvious similarity is the atmosphere of those novel. Both of the novels, moreover have the atmosphere of the story that equally interesting. The translations novel has atmosphere is a challenging and gripping story such as murder or mystery of the disappearance of a person. Meanwhile, Indonesian novels have the atmosphere that not too accentuated the heroic actions like translations novel. Indonesian novels tend to expose a story atmosphere that contain elements of tranquility as the story of the romance of a person. Indonesian novels have its own characteristic in described the atmosphere of the story, just as the translation novel do.

Other areas of similarity from the novel translation and Indonesian novel is the story is a lot of filmed. Where the story of the translation novel and Indonesian novels, both attracting the attention of fans. The story of the film of the novel translation full of heroic action that makes his fans hysterical and spur their heart rate, for example, “Harry Potter” is the one of translations novel which really famous in Asia and Europe. Likewise the story of the Indonesian novels that many have been filmed yet full of romantic story, for example, “Janji Hati”  is the one of the Indonesian novel which contains the feel funny and love. This novel also portrayed by the author of the novel, she is Elvira Natali, the girl who came from Lampung was 16 years old at the time.

In spite of these similarities, these two apparently equation characteristics share several important experiences. 

In contrast to Indonesian novels, novel translation offres a topic about tragedy. The tragedy like the eruption of the mount in an area, the mystery of an uninhabited villages, and others. The novel contains stories and action full of obstacles and challenges. It is dissimilar to Indonesian novels which are prefer the topic about romance story of someone like disconnection a person because it separated by distance.

Unlike novel translations’ language level, Indonesian novels’ language level  is pretty common and easily understood. The novel translations’ language level tend to use words that is difficult and using certain terms that are sometimes difficult to understand as  stochkholm syndrome” which means sympathy or empathy feeling to someone who commit crimes or abduct us. On the other hand, the language level of the Indonesian novels tend to be more readily understood by its readers, not too often use the words or terms that are difficult to understand as it is used by the translation of novels.

In conclusion, the novel translation and Indonesian novels have similarities, but also have differences. Although the two novels differ in many areas such as tragedy topic versus romance topic, difficult language level versus easy language level, and heroic story versus melow story, yet they share more than one of the same characteristic. Furthermore, the two novels  have the topic of the story that have different uniqueness levels, so often once world cinema took the story of the novels which enliven the world of entertainment.

Why grammar should be controlled? Because grammar is the rule in English writing to comply with the applicable rules. And for that, we have to learn a few things first. Grammar is the sort of rules like that in Indonesia known SPOK (subject, predicate, object, Specification). So, the sentence was almost the same element with a different name. There are a few tips to learn Grammar quickly. The first step is start from the simplest grammar, i.e distinguish between noun, adjective, and so forth. then proceed to learn the easiest formula is simple tense. Only then continued more difficult.  In the second step, memorize 16 tenses. We can remember three core part of tenses, the Present, Past and Future. Basically just this 3, and then expand to other such continues, perfect, and others. Remember and understand three basic formulas earlier, and then understand its development. After that, talking to himself in the mirror using the English language. Each of us saying a specific sentence, try to really see the grammar, immediately check whether it  is correct. Next, watch movie and listen to songs. While watching a movie or listening to a song, listen carefully sentence, and check the grammar. What the formula tenses are? Guess one by one. And the last, read the book. Be it a novel or something else, we can recognize and learn about grammar. Guess what tenses that used in each sentence, including where the noun, verb, adjective, and so forth.

vocabulary acquisition



VOCABULARY ACQUISITION                         
Nowadays, many students who have difficulty to speak words in English and many students are anxious to speak English just because of the lack of English vocabulary. Sometimes, the teachers often find errors on students using vocabulary that often swirl and convoluted. However, vocabulary can be obtained anywhere and anytime .Vocabulary acquisition can go through the process of learner training, workplace, and social issues.

One way in obtaining a vocabulary that is learner training, where we get the students to think about how they learn best. Learning training involves tasks such as showing the students different ways of note-taking and asking them to think about which ones they prefer, or talking about different types of listening text and the skill that are appropriate for them. Besides, we can also make learning vocabulary through songs and pictures. Teachers train students to remember vocabulary by playing songs in the English language learning process. Teachers can also increase vocabulary acquisition by using images such as pictures of organs and body parts, animals, objects, etc.

Another ways is workplace that also very important in the acquisition of English vocabulary of self-motivation. Students can get new vocabulary based on their experience who have visited a particular institution or institutions such as hospital and airport. In the hospital, the students can get new vocabulary through general sign and biologi terrms such as waiting room, no parking,chasier,silence,psychology,etc. As well as at the airport, students can also acquire new vocabulary by taking into account the common signs that exist around the airport such as departure, arrival, way out, slow down,etc.

and lastly, the social issues that also play a role in students' English vocabulary acquisition. The social issues can get from television and magazine. On television, students can obtain a variety of  vocabulary even broader scope such as foreign news where students will acquire more vocabulary even more difficult and profound. Students will gain a lot more difficult words in the news or outstanding issues on television. In addition to the news on television, students can also acquire vocabulary by looking at western films aired on television so that besides getting the vocabulary, students can also improve listening skills. In magazines, students can read the stories of inspiration that contain a lot of new words and the students can record important words to remember. In this case, the students not only improve vocabulary but also the ability to read. So, a lot of skills that can be obtained from the acquisition of vocabulary through social issues.

To conclude, the students can obtain and use the English vocabulary anywhere and anytime. The student can expand the understanding and use of English vocabulary through learner training, school and workplace, as well as social issues. A lot of resources that we can use to improve English vocabulary.So,be students who are active and have a high willingness to learn.
